Hardwiring V1? What wire to tap into?

I'm trying to hardwire my V1 right now, but I have NO CLUE as to what wire to tap into down there. Is there a good writeup anywhere? I found one here (http://www.max-world.org/writeups/5t...ow-tos/v1.html) but it's apparently only applicable to 5th gens, as I looked everywhere for a blue/white wire to no avail. Any pics for 4th gens wiring would be appreciated! I already ran the phone cord wire (from V1 to the fuse box area) down. Just need to find out what wire to tap into. Thanks in advance!

what i would suggest doing is just finding a non powered wire to tap it into. what i mean by non powered is a wire that only has power going to it when you turn the car on. if you're in the fuse box area already, take a volt meter and test a few wires out with the car off until you find one with out power and tap that one. don't forget to put in an inline fuse.

get an inline fuse and wire that in. simplest way to do this would be to take a wire tap and tap it into the cig lighter. run a generic phone cord from where you want it, underneath the dash all the way to the cig lighter and just tap it in there. that's what i'm doing.
