OK last night I tried to do the mod on the MAF with the wire.The one where you put a wire to get more ground.Well I did it and tried to start my car but it wouldnt start.So I took off the wire and the car started fine,But I did notice some bruning smell.OK the car ran fine all last night I ran it like for 80 miles and it was fine.This morning my wife went to the store and the car wouldnt go over 25mph then she truned the airconditioner on and the car just died on her.Well I went to see what was wrong and the car wont start back up,it just makes a clicking or buzzing sound down by the fuse box thats in the drivers left leg side..Whats wrong with my car did I blow a fuse or is there more damage done.I know theres a blown fuse or something electrical but which fuse is it and do you guys have any ideas what might have happened?I really need your help ..Thanks I need some quick ideas on what went wrong.

explain exactly your procedure when you did the mod. like tell us step by step. I did this mod with no problems at all. do you have a CEL? did you ever unplug the sensor while the car was running?

 

umm.first thing.. check all the fuses. anything blown? if it is, replace it and your problems should be fixed. ..you will know what a burned fuse looks like. the lil wire inside isnt connected cause its blown. the clicking sound mayb from a relay they click when they go nuts.

 

You sound like you may have some short somewhere. Remove the new wire and then try it, although i figure you have already done that. check all your fuses and relays. look for fuses that look like they have gotten hot, as well as blown ones. check your relays and things under the hood. Other than that, I am at a loss.
