Has anyone added an engine compartment light, if so some suggestions on where to putlight and switch, and how...switch type ect....

 

I considered it for a while, but I work on my car so much that I'd drain the battery more than I'd like (thus I gave up). GM cars almost always have hood lights, so you could rob one from there. Then you could figure out if our OEM hood alarm switch is a switched ground or +12V and wire the light accordingly.
