Someone was posting that he got a quote for $70, if he buys all the springs and shocks from that shop. I did mine about 3 weeks ago. I ordered the H&R from Tirerack.com and received them on Friday. I was planning on putting them on on Saturday but couldn't wait that long. I started working on it on Friday night around 9 and got done around 2am. That's about 5 hours, including all the coffee breaks, cigarettes, taking photos, cursing and yelling at those stupid spring compressors, and finally cleaning up and test drive. I spent a big chunk of my time compressing those stock springs. The good thing is that the after market lowering springs did not require compressing, which saved a lot of time.

I have never worked on a Maxima before, that's why it took me a little longer than I expected. On the Eclipse I had I changed the springs twice and it only took me 3 hours each time.

BTW, make sure you have an understanding wife like mine if you plan to stay up til 2am working on your car in the garage. (I have to say this because she visits this site occasionally ^_^)

If you got 2-4hours do it yourself. It doesn't require that complicated of tools and it is really easy if you have a friend.
