i'm thinking of selling my max and getting a new sentra ser specv.that is the only thing i would sell my max for, i am definitely not getting ne thing else. took one for a test drive after work today and absolutely loved it:D.thing that sucks is i just bought rims and tires a month ago $1500 .

If you sell your Maxima for a Sentra then you like men.

my friend has a 2003 sentra spec-v and has gone through three engines and one transmission. Everything stock. Perhaps he has a lemon I dunno.

I like the way the spec Vs look with those 17s...however i just came to the conclusion the other day that i wont look at any other car for a long time. i was thinking about getting a new car this summer but i love the max. i see myself in it for another 3-5 years easy. i think its an untapped resource in a sense that most dont realize its potential. i plan on showing that potential fully in the next few years, probably all NA. I think people like Nealoc and vqdriver know whats going on and I really want to be one of the people that shows that this 4-door family sedan not only looks pimp but can haul some a$$.

Trade your max for a sentra, But you will be defacing us, and your self, Trade your Maxima for a new Maxima, and you will make us very Happy, and did I forget to mension YOUR SELF TO

My dad and I both have a max and my step mom has a sentra (2003 gxe). i've been driving all of them and believe me, you do not want a sentra.

Craig that is the funniest thing that I think I have heard you say. I was eating and leiserly strolling over the posts and almost spit my food out I was laughing so hard.

By the way I skunked one of those last week that had the usual intake and exhaust set up, keep the Max for sure.

That's blasphemy !!! I drove the Spec V. It's not bad, but...it's sure as heck not a Max. Keep your Max or get a newer one. Otherwise, you will be beating yourself up for getting rid of it. :bonk:

You have a 96 5-speed SE. You've only just begun to explore the potential of your car, and you've got the best platform with the most aftermarket options. Your 18X8s are probably sapping some of performance out of your car. So the Spec V may feel a bit more spirited. Your rims may look great, but there's always the give and take when it comes to rims.

If I were you, I would really explore the idea of getting JWT ECU, MEVI, and perhaps LSD in the tranny to polish things off. That's hell of alot less expensive than a new car. And it will blow the doors off of that Spec V you're dreaming about.

Look at posts by Requin6 and Dave B. They have pretty much the same car as you with ECU and MEVI. You don't know what you're missing.

if i sell my max, i will sell them. they are rs limited akunin 18x8s w/ sumitomo htrzII 225/40zr18. i'll let them go for $1400, if i choose to sell which i think i'm going to.

New Sentra IS hot...but hotter than a Max? Don't think so. Only way you should sell the max for one of those is if you smoke copious amounts of crack on a daily basis.

it has loads of torque for a 4 cylinder, but even the new civic si and focus svt beat it out

just cuz u have a nissan maxima doesnt mean that the sentra is automatically good because its a nissan. do some research, you'll realize its not that great of car

The sentra is at LEAST a nissan. Notice the LEAST. You get the point. Don't sell the max.

I bought my daughter one for graduation. It's a great car, FUN to drive! I wouldn't give up the Maxima for it though.

i dedcided against it, i was out driving around last night on the highway last night and theres no way the spec v can come close to the max,in acceleration & definitely not top speed.thanks for the :slap: WTF!!!! was i thinking.

THREE ENGINES IN A 2003:eek:?!!!! WTF? They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Anyone who would put three engines in a Sentra in the same year is definitely insane.

If you do get an SER, get one of the last '03's....the '04's look like utter trash compared to the '03. Nissan has been 'uglyfying' all of their cars as of late with their idea of brand recognition.
