reverse lights....
reverse lights....
my reverse lights don't work on my car.. I've checked the fuse, and the bulb.. Agincourt Nissan wanted $80 JUST to find out what the problem was... so anyone hve any clue what it may be? My friend mentioned something about making sure it's grounded... all the other lights work though. just the reverse doesn't.. Thanks in advance
You may need a friend to test this. Take out the bulb and use a voltmeter to test for power as the car is put into reverse. Also, test for ground by placing the black voltmeter prong in the ground of the bulb, and the other end on a shaved metal part of the car chassis. If you do a continuity test, you should find out if there is ground. If both bulbs are working and your continuity test is positive (meaning that there is a ground), then you have a failed switch, the one that activates when you put your car into reverse. Search a haynes manual or something to find out where the switch is, buy a new one and replace it.
