What color bulb do you use in the outermost socket of the clear (lower) half of the (outer) red/clears? The light that is constantly on, not the blinker.

I have the amber bulb that I got with the red/clears, but don't really like the way the orange looks. I also have red bulbs which look a little bit better, and tried it with no bulb at all which looks kind of slick.

Just curious to see what everyone else uses

Just pull the bulb, it looks somewhat out of place, regardless of having red/clears or not. Yeah, I should really do that tomorrow, one of them burnt out and it looks so stupid.

IMO, leave them amber, it is just easier for other drivers, at least IME.

My bulbs were blown when I did the mod so I just left em in there.

You can get red bulbs at Autozone. They had a pretty big selestion in bulbs compared to other places. I had to go there for the Amber bulbs because no other place had them, I think I remember them having red too.

what bulb???
All I have is the turn-signal light and the "side marker" that is
still behind red plastic...do you have other bulbs??? I can't visualize
what you're talking about (which is strange, b/c everyone else can!!!)

We are talking about the little 194 bulbs in the corners of the lights under that red lens.

For the other bulbs (red or amber), we are talking about the 1156 bulbs for the turn signal.

That's the one.. he's talking about the sidemarker light. I'm contemplating clearing out my tails (I don't want to make myself an obvious target for thieves)... if I do it, I am going to leave the red plastic piece in. Some of the guys here on the org have done it, and I don't think it looks too bad (besides.. safety is more important than looks!)

that's the one...usually with red clears, they take out the red reflector, leaving the bulb exposed, therefore why they take it.

Hmmm...OK, I'm not crazy (phew!)...when I made my Red/Clears,
I kept the red plastic in...I think it looks great!!!
