Can Anyone help? I have 18X8.5 inch wheels. I know it says to put 235/40/18 on them. But tire rack has a good deal on 235/50/18, will they fit just as wheel. I'm not too concerned with the profile.

 

No, that's the wrong size.

It does matter that the size is 235-50, those will be extremely tall, and depending on your drop, may rub...See if you may be able to get your hands on 245-40, 235-45, 235-40 or 225-45. How good of a deal are you getting on those 235-50s?
