Could someone please tell me if they know where I can get the retain clips to a 1998 Nissan Maxima cupholder? I somehow lost one and my cupholder is ratling about now. The parts departments around me do not sell the clips and want me to buy a 41 dollar cupholder ! I am enraged that I would be expected to pay 41 dollars when I need a 15 cent retaining clip. If anyone has an extra or knows where I can get one, I would be enthraled. Otherwise, suggestions to stop the rattle would be welcomed as well. I am thinking about applying a small layer of foam tape around the cup, it should work as long as it is not too thick, but I'll still have a loose cupholder that lifts out everytime I try to pull a bottle out of it

I managed to lose track of whatever the retaining clip snapped into. I have no idea what was even down there. The dealer was no help.

I got frustrated enough trying to find a solution that I went a slightly ghetto route. I removed the cupholder, drilled a hole in the bracket underneath, and put a speed nut on. Then I drilled a hole in the cupholder, put the screw in, and no more magic levitating cupholder.

Not exactly pretty, but it works.
