shocks and struts help

i feel every bumb in the road when i drive. someone told me that it may be my shocks and struts. the car bounces like the shocks are good when i come off a bridge, but when i hit a bump in the road, it's a hard clunk. i can hear the dash board rattle when i hit a bump now. at first i couldn't hear anything, i used to have a smooth ride. i really don't want to spend money on a mechanic. Will it be hard to change these parts on my own. Do you think it can be something more than shock or struts. Any and all suggestions... i have a 95 GLE all stock.

If you'd like to get that smooth new car ride back, Tokico Blue struts and rear shocks will work fine on your stock car.

If you'd like to firm up the ride a bit for better handling, KYB GR2 struts and rear shocks will give you a nice sport car like ride.

Can i get the tokico blue struts and rear shocks from autozone or somewhere like that. Is it hard to replace on my own?

Friends don't let friends drive on Tokico Blues. Order a set of GR2's from Taylorautomotive.com for $260 shipped.

Smooth, but very firm. GR2's are more sport tuned then Tokico's.

There's nothing wrong with Tok's, especially if he's using them with stock springs. They will give the smoothest ride. Tok's generally fail when they are coupled with agressive, low sport springs. There not valved to handle big drops and really stiff springs. Especially the rear Tokico shocks, they are pretty soft.

Get creative and use the Tokico Blue struts up front and put the GR2 shock's in the rear. You'll have better control and a very smooth ride!

Order them from shox.com

How often should the shocks/struts be changed? I know I need some in the rear, but it seems like I changed them about 2-3 years ago.

nope its pretty easy
i took apart my suspension twice now
last time the whole thing took about 3.5 hours (1 man job)
and before this i had no suspension experience.

it would be helpful to have a spring compressor and impact wrench.
