u can check my homepage for pics of 6500k that redlinemax.com sells. They are a big upgrade from stock or hyper white lights. They look better they are brighter and bounce off objects in front of u to make things more visible. Average life on bulbs are about 2500 hours which can be between a year and a half to 8 years depending on how heavy u drive at night.

Hanabi is a very popular and reliable brand sold by 97GLES and there are others out there that have sprung out and work well too with more options. Everyone just has different taste but the two that sell great or descent now are hanabi's and redlinemax's. I've had both and both have worked extremely well. Right now i have Hanabi 6k because it has more purple than any other kit (i aint scared of cops). Normally people only get pulled over for the 8k + kits.

i'm not sure about quality from different manufacters but have seen some ballast that has failed ( most looked abused or improperly mounted). as for other people flashing you, just aim your headlights a bit lower. there are kits available now with hi-beams too, so you won't lose your hi's, which is a plus. (if you would like you can pm/e-mail me, my friends shop has hi/lo HID kits, i can get you a deal) and finally 6k bulb will give you a bluish light and the 8k will give a whiter light. hope this helps

one more thing kits that have hi/lo beams are for h4 set-up so in order to install one the 9004 type mods might be needed but the regular low beam HID kits are available as plug-n-play for 9004.

The quality of the HIDs depend on where you buy them and the brand. Some of the ones I've seen on ebay are low quality materials but the light looks better than halogen. I have the 7000K from www.misterjung.com and I love them. They look super white from close and violet from far away. Here is a pic of my and my friend's IS300. If you seen the IS300 HID then look at this LOOK!.The only problem I have with those HIDs is that they took about 1 month to get here, but then it was from coast to coast so its ok.
