my check engine light was on, i took it to the mechanic, and he told me that it's the knock sensor, my question is what is that and what does it do, and more improtantly, how much does it cost to fix. Some other codes that showed up were a misfire in the sixth cylinder, but that was before i got a tune up, he cleared the code and when he retested it, only the knock sensor showed up twice, he told me most likely nothing is wrong with the cylinder. If anyone has any insight on this, what exactly is a misfire, I have an idea what i'm not exactly sure, and is that a big problem to fix?

well right now im having to "replace" my KS. There are lots of forums going on about the knock sensor so do a little research on the forums.

The KS listeons for knocking in the engine. And the ajustices the spark timing according.
