I really want to get a 4th gen. maxima, but i dont know very much about them......what is the difference between the SE and the others? And is it true that a 5-speed has the potential to run high 14's? (sorry about the newb questions)

There is a GLE, a GXE and the SE editions of the 4th generation Maximas...... The GXE is pretty much the base model. The GLE is the "Luxury Edition" type..... the GLE does not have the speed limiter that tha GXE has..... The SE is the Sport Edition. It has white faced guages, a factory spoiler and a sport tuned suspension. If you want the performance, get the 5-speed..... The automatic is still good, but the 5-speed is better though..... I have an Automatic, but I wish I had a 5-speed......

The 5-speed does have potential to run in the high 14's.....
