spoiler installation...
i just got my spoiler today for my '99 GLE and have a question regarding installation.
How do I wire the brake light LED on the spoiler? The wire attached to the LED came with no connector on the end, so I'm not sure how to connect it to the connector in the trunk. (I'm assuming that the unused connector taped to the tail light wiring in the trunk is for the spoiler brake light)
Thanks for any help

The easiest way is to cut off the connector on the wires taped to the bundle (that you mentioned), and twist them together with the new ones and tape them (or use a twist connector). With my new spoiler, the wire colors matched.
Now what was that about trunk rusting?

as far as the trunk rusting, I just wanted to know what to treat the holes with once they're drilled, before the spoiler is put on.
I'm installing mine this weekend, and I'm going to treat the holes with primer. I may use some silicon sealant on the holes if it looks like it would help.
I do see that the outboard holes will interfere with the rubber stoppers on the trunk lid. I guess I'll move them by drilling new holes. And it's going to be a pain to drill out the outboard substructure to attach the nuts to the mounting studs.
