My mom just bought a new car so she gave me her old 96 Infiniti I30. I don't know **** about the 24v V6 that's under the hood so if someone could give me a run down about it, or give me a few links where I can get some good info on it, that'd be great.

I told myself I wouldn't mod this but I just hate seeing a stock airbox, exhaust manifolds, etc. What are some good websites that have cheap intakes and such?

curious to know what you had driven/modded before the I30...seems like you know a little about it.

get an intake from frankencar.com and get a y-pipe from budgetexhaust.com...most people will tell you to start there, otherwise for lookse, get some rims (your choice) and some kyb agx struts with your choice of lowering springs.

 

I have a full bolt on 98 Z28. My mom just bought a new I30 and gave me her old one as a daily driver so I can tear into my LS1 now

I probably won't do any appearance mods, because all my money goes to my Z, but I was just looking at small performance mods to do for now.

 

if your just looking for a little extra untapped performance, go with a frankencar intake, budget y-pipe, and a custom b-pipe with your choice of muffler. it will sound good, perform better and all that is under $500 for about 24-28fwhp

 

one thing about that 24Valve V6, Most efficent V6 ever known to man!, Basically meaning all the other v6's suck and the VQ is the best

 

That's right, our's is the best and also at drinking fuel but that's common for a V6 but DTR maxima is right about the performance boost.
Go for it.
