Transmission Question>>>need Help!

Hey guys,

i have a 98 Automatic with 120 000 kms on it or 76000 miles. I have never changed the transmission fluid since i bought it at 99 000 as I was told that it was previously changed. Now from the looks of what my mechanic tells me, the transmission fluid was never changed. He told me that if i change it at this HIGH of a mileage, i could risk damaging the tranny and told me to drive it as it is. Just hoping you can give me a bit more intel on this, how can putting fresh fluid in kill a transmission? Anyways, thanks guys

probaly trying to say that the change may disturb debris thats inside the tranny and causing that debris to clog up the valve body ect.

Change, clean and flush that tranny. It's the best thing you can do for it. Drop the pan and clean up the magnets and the screen filter.

The high miles, leave it alone is just a myth.

go ahead and change the fluid and flush the transmission....... it will get rid of all of those particles in there....... Those mechanics are idiots and told you to never change your motor oil as well...... I think they are full of ****
