First things first, check your fuses. Especially the fuel pump fuse. Secound thing is you might have busted an engine belt. If you know where they are check under the hood. Do you have any power in the car, or engine check light?

i checked belts and it looked like all of them were fine - i think it has somthing to do with the fuel pump because i had it stall on me before when i accelerate but never while im just stopped at a light with my foot on the brake

It sounds like the fuel pump, if you checked the fuse and its fine, you will probably have to replace the fuel pump- especially if you had problems with it before. By the way if your replacing the fuel pump might as well get a Walbro GSS342 255lph fuel pump.

When was the last time you replaced the fuel filter? It may be a clogged filter, but the fuel pump is definantly suspect. If you have no power at all check your battery terminals.

the EXACT same thing happened to me and later all the power on my car went out. and so much other stuff happened, i'm still trying to figure out the problem.

What eggs me is that u like me were chilling at a stop light and this problem happens, why would it happen at idle when car is just chilling? how do u prevent this problem from happening again?
