- Cattman Performance, makers of the only true coilover setup for the Maxima, have raised their prices. Former price was a very reasonable $1200 (plus $35 shipping). New price is $1500 (plus $35 shipping).
- Mr. Catts has informed me that the coilovers are in the process of being upgraded and should be ready in two months. Improvements include bearings to replace friction-based components and the ability to adjust caster as well as camber.
- As great as these things are, I don't think that they warrant a $300 price hike. The coilovers used to be dead in line with what a spring/shock/camber plate setup would cost. Now it's $300 inflated in this monopoly. What do you all think?

probably because

to cover development fee
considering market size
now...how many here have Cattman coilover setup?
I think not many
anyhow...I think Cattman price might be justifiable.
as for the Y-pipe...maybe he could lower it a bit...since a lot of people are getting them
^_^
reduce price to lure more customer...increase profit through sales quantity
hehehe

NO KIDDING!!!

I saw that today...... $1500 coilovers....$3500 superchargers.....$450 Ypipe.......$975 nitrous...$400 ECU... this could get expensive. Why the price gouging on Maxima parts? I am new to the Maxima scene..... starting to miss my old Chevy stuff already...just for the savings!!!
And i didnt buy a BMW because i thought it would be expensive!!! I think i will start some R&D of my own. These prices sound more like "custom-made" prices to me. Got my gauges (overlays) for $29.50 so i guess thats a plus.

Modding isn't a hobby

If you want to play then you are going to have to pay. That is the way it is with all aftermarket. Generally you get what you pay for and the faster you want to go or the better you want to look all depends on how fat you pockets are. This is the norm. Like it or love it.

Well, a coil over setup for a civic goes for about 400.00-500.00. And these are very similar components.

I thought it was always $1500

so I always regarded it as too much .. $1200 would have been pretty nice had I known about it (and had a big wad of cash in my pocket =P) hehe.
