Here's Another Code Mystery...To Me Anyway

Check engine light (CEL) has been intermitent... Comes and goes. Pulled codes and got an 0302 - high/low EGR flow, right?
However, I've noted that the appearance of the CEL seemed to coincide with my fuel getting down to a little above, at, or a little below a quarter of a tank. I drove for several days with fuel level in that range - CEL appears.
Sunday night I filled the tank - after ~70 miles, the CEL disappears.
I am certain that the code pulled was the 0302.However, I suppose, based on the symptoms checking out the carbon canister hoses and connections would be warranted...Agree, disagree, any other recommendations or advice? Maybe I should replace the fuel cap?

EGR has nothing to do with your EVAP (gas tank) system.
