Freakin y-pipe

so yea, i finally had a chance to install the ypipe today. My friend stayed after to help me out, it's a little easier for me because where i work, they're pits so i dont have to crawl under the car. Well, after getting all the bolts and whatnot, and finally install the pipe, i start it up and theres this loud rumbling, like its not connected right. So we check it out, and we see the bolt that budget gave me for the cat is kinda stripped, no biggie, so we find another one and put it in yadda yadda. Then we start it up again, and same noise, but a little lower. So we check all the bolts. It turns out, one of the bolts on the forward flange (cali-spec) is stripped and we can't get it off, so i have to drive home with this annoying noise. SO FRUSTRATED. Also, i think that budget messed up a little on the making of the forward flange, it was kind of hard to sit the gasket onto the hole because the part of the pipe that it's supposed to sit on wasn't completely made so that i can fit the gasket on, maybe it could be the gasket didnt sit right, but since its a crushable? I dont know. Sorry, just venting. Gotta bring it to Meinieke tomorrow now. Bah

nope im federal, it was a cake walk, so i dont really have any idea what your problem could be. i would suggest called budget and have them help you trouble shoot. that is what im going to do with maximum tunning.

just keep in mind how nice it will be when everything works right, and how much more youll know about your car, thats what i do any way.

Um, im happy to say i got it fixed. The bottom bolt on the flange facing the front of the car was stripped to the point where it wouldnt tighten/loosen. Took it to meineke and they replaced it free. I don't know if i have bees in a can though, does it sound like a lawnmower sometimes or is it normal

Thanks
-Mark
