Need help fixing my odometer!

My analog odometer doesn't work. How can I fix it?

I made the big mistake of taking my 1996 Maxima to Service King. My Maxima came back with drink spills in the front and back seats. The light that should come on when I press "unlock" on my remote no longer comes on and my odometer no longer runs because the jerks who worked there took it out for a joy ride and didn't want me to know how far they had gone. So, I would really like to know: What's the most likely method a person would use to make the odometer stop working? Is it some wire that is also connected to the ceiling light? The odometer still turns a little bit when the weather is really cold. Other than that, it doesn't run.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Odometer is connected throgh a cable from the engine compartment...look for a disconnected cable wire. I am not sure but i think thats what is used. If not it can also be the speed sensor which goes into the speedometer guage which might be connected to the odometer some how.

You should be really ****ed if Service King did that for sure. I would have taken it back and asked for a explanation and tell them to fix it. Report them to the Better Business Beaurue or consumer affairs!!
