First off let me say I'm pretty acute to what goes on in my car, unlike my wife with her Civic(I know). But sometimes while I'm in third, and sometimes even in second, it feels like my car gets an extra surge of power. The only thing I can relate it to is a felling like something is clogging the injectors and then gets blown out, hence the extra surge of power. I'm pretty sure it has to something with the feul delivery system and I can't feel the power drop until I really get on it and the the car starts to pull. It's kinda weird and I don't know what I'm feeling, anyone else with this please post and if you have an answer I would love to hear it.

 

I may be wrong, but if you haven't changed the fuel filter in a long time, it may be that. In my experience, the problem you described USUALLY means a lack of fuel or electrical current. If the filter doesn't work, take a look at your plugs.
