a simple search would've given you these 2 links

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ake+conversion

http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=248117&page=2

p.s. use search next time, it's all there

p.s. 2. you don't need the kit, if you want brakes that can hold up better when they heat up get better pads, unless you race on the race track the upgrade would be a waste of money

I beg to differ. Z brakes are a great investment whether you spend 90% or 20% of your time at the track. Especially if your power output calls for it. I guess it may be a matter of personal preference, but I'm just as concerned with the area covered on my rotor as with how great my pads are.

Keith, are you using stock wheels? Also, is the brake master on the Max the same as the Z32? Thanks.

No, no stockers here. The Z brakes wont fit under any stock maxima wheels. As of now, with the Z rotors, they just fit under my TSW Revo's but I should get some breathing room once the cobra brackets get machined. Now for the master cylinder. Both are different. The Max master is smaller then the Z but the brake booster seems bigger then the Z. Anymore questions, just post up.

Thanks. I hate being a noob at this, but all I've known are 240s since forever and a day ago. I didn't think the stockies would clear, but I love the SE rims that are on it right now. What about suspension? Do you guys have issues with Z calipers clearing suspension components (aftermarket)? Thanks!

No suspension problems with the Z calipers. The only problem is where the control arm meets the steering knuckle. The Z32 rotors are much thicker then stock Max's which proves a clearence issue here. To solve it all you do is grind down the control arm till there is an acceptible amount of clearence between it and the rotor.

Chris

IIRC stock offset is +40 (most models). Correct me if im wrong, adding another inch to your wheels and adding +5 in offset isnt an ideal offset. Although the C5 will clear, if you get fat tires then you might need a spacer so you dont rub. Id suggest a +35 or +40 and you wheel will be flush with your fenders.

Remember its not offset that determins if your wheel will clear Z brakes, its spoke design that will determine if it will clear them.
