Is it so hard to tell the truth???
Is it so hard to tell the truth???
Wus up peeps, just two weeks ago my "friend" wasn't paying attention and slamed his S10 into my Max. His car had a scratch and my entire drivers side rear was smashed in. We both told the cops the same story but he lied to his insurance company so they refused to accept responsibility. Just a lesson to people, you may not even listen but it is a whole lot easier on people if we can all just be honest and accept our reponsibilities. My insurance company has to pay the $3000 to fix the car and my rates may go up when it was his fault. PEOPLE, JUST TELL THE TRUTH AND QUIT TRYING TO WORK THE SYSTEM AT THE EXPENSE OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SUPPOSE TO BE YOUR FRIENDS. Please take this advice.

That sucks man. I hope it works out for you. Yeah, I made the mistake of telling my friend he could pay me for the damage he did to my car without getting the police or anyone involved. He begged me to do it this way, that was 3 months ago, and I havent seen a dime of that money yet.
Yeah he isn't a good friend and i was going to get my boys and pay him a little visit to settle this but i figured that it wasn't worth it. He can stay a B**** if he wants to. what goes around comes around. By the way, Nice Max D1NOnly34.
find a night when it's gonna be kinda chilly and just go egg his car.... it seems harmless enough; until the shiiiiit freezes onto his paint and eats through it... for anyone who thinks im bs'in ya, just ask anyone who saw my front bumber at the june 14 meet, they'll vouch for what it'll do, lol
Hold on. Didn't both of you present the same story to the cop? If so, he probably wrote a report. In this case, get it and let your friend know if your insurance rate goes up, you will press legal charges against him. I know it's not easy to do against an old friend, but he's the one who started the whole affair in the first place.....

His insurance is going to blow you off if they can... as it will save them $3000! Get the police report and take it there. You should also give a copy to your insurance company, as they don't want to pay that $3000 either.
Chances are, taking the report to YOUR insurance agent is all that will be necessary, as they will usually take care of things that are in their interests. YOUR insurance should be more than willing to fax the report to the other guys insurance and have them take care of it.
If there was no report written, contact the police officer who responded and explain to him what happened, then have him write something up for you.
Good Luck!

There was a police report written and I'm so ****ed because the insurance company knew the details, but the ***get told them that the report wasn't accurate and I spoke to my lawyer and he said that if we pressed charges, it could take up to two years to get it resolved. I'm going to get my insurance company to go after his after my car is out the shop. I'm going to just call them out for the public...ERIE INSURANCE COMPNY SUCKS AND IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. YOU WILL BE SMART NOT TO GET THEM. and the kid knew it was his fault because the father agreed to pay for the damages but we wanted it to go through the insurance company incase it got fixed and something else went wrong later. I'm still ****ed about the whole thing.
Get in touch with YOUR insurance ASAP. His insurance will try and drag it out and get you to sign off on it. Once you do, you are sh*t out of luck. If you haven't given up, tell YOUR insurance about the situation,(they know a police report holds more water than what some 'punk' says) and will get his insurance to pay.
His insurance will blow you off and lie to you in order to save a buck. Your insurance company knows better, and so should you. The police report is a legal document. As long as you haven't already signed off on a claim with your insurance company then you're good to go.
Good Luck!
