Brakes

What are some easy and/or inexpensive ways to get more bite out of our brakes. I've just got standard pads, rotors, etc. I'm looking to get more grip when I step on the brakes. The car brakes fine, but my wife's Altima (I know it's lighter, among other differences)seems to have more grab when you step on the brakes. Any ideas?

my mechanic showed me the other day how to tighten your rear breaks. hold in the break peddal with your foot and then press your e break button and pull all the way up on the lever while holding your foot break in. do this a two or three times in a row until you feel that your rear breaks have tightend up. you will get more responce from them. oh yeah, do this while your car is in neutral and not moving.

i dont know if this will help but it doest cost anything and is easy.

If you knew how the brakes on a car work, you would know that that does nothing...

Do us a favor and never use that mechanic for any repair work. He obviously doesn't know what the he11 he's talking about.
