I got the Warpspeed y-pipe and cat sitting brand new in the boxes. I want my exhaust to be quiet. I am thinking of putting the 2K exhaust on, but should I get the whole cat-back, or just the muffler and get a custom 2.5in pipe installed? What is the b-pipe for, can someone explain me the purpose of it.

the b-pipe is the pipe that runs from the cat the the muffler. it will be hard to have a really quite car with the y-pipe. you should have gotten in on the a'pexi deal. getting a different b-pipe will help the gases escape faster.
P.S thanks for sending me the screws back with the templates...

wicked: my bad about the screws, I forgot, you need them?
I might be getting a Greddy muffler (so much for my quiet theory), so will the b-pipe complete the setup? (y-pipe, cat, muffler) Is there anything else I need to get? Do I really need the b-pipe or can I just have a local shop custom make me a 2.5 pipe from cat to the muffler.

all cat-back exhausts come with a b-pipe and muffler. if you want the greddy catback it comes with a b-pipe. the b-pipe you get should have a resonator on it. it wouldn't make since to have all those mods done while keeping your factory b-pipe. the greddy will run you about 525+shipping . like i said, you should have bought the a'pexi catback for 375 shipped.. hold onto the screws just in case someone else needs them, then i want then back...

I am buying a used Greddy, just the muffler, that's why I am asking about the b-pipe. Getting the Apexi was a bit too expansive for me. So my question is: Should I get the Courtesy b-pipe or can I just have my mufler shop custom make me one?

so your getting a universal greedy muffler right? i would get the courtesy b-pipe. but if $$$ is an issue you can have one made for far less. just make sure they put a resonator on. either way i would get a b-pipe//

local shop

get the ocal piping. it is cheaper and when you install everything drive the car hard and fast to see if it is to loud, then if you think it is to loud add the resonator
