Removing the storage compartment

How would I remove the storage compartment in my 99 SE underneath the radio? I'm switching my Sirius FM mod system to the new Kenwood Here2Anywhere Plug N' Play, and want to stick it in that space. Is there a way to take it out?

Hi, I am working on a very similar install: 99 Max + Audiovox Sirius add-on
tuner. My current plan is to attach the small controller-display unit to the slide
out drawer itself. I will put a small hole thru the bottom of the drawer for
routing the cable and leave some slack cable within the drawer to allow for it
being opened.

Please let me know how you hook your tuner to the factory radio.
Thanks,

Pull out the AC vents and clock. Two screws there. Then pull up the shift console. Take out the ashtray. Two screws down there. Now take out the center console. There are screws on the sides of the mounting bracket and remove the ones for the storage space. Then just take is out and reassemble.
