did anyone used stock front struts and H&R springs?

Right now i'm on KYB AGX and H&R springs - the front struts are too stiff for me - they are ok when it's nice and warm , but when the temp drops - they are very stiff and unconfortable.

I will get some Blue Tokico's HP , but I got some free time on my hands and i'm feeling like doin' some wrenching, so i will swap the front KYB AGX for stock strut and see how they ride.

anybody with stock struts and H&R's please respond.

Nick

How long have you had them on the car? These thing must wear in you know. The stock struts may not have the dampening power to be used with the H&R springs so you'll end up destroying the struts very quickly. I have the same setup and when I install them, I'm just going to wear them in for a few months at a medium setting.

thanks for quick replay !!!

I had my KYB for almost 10 months ( had Sprints before )
now the ride with H&R is much better , but the front is still to stiff for me - I already played with all the settings possible and I'm still not happy ( stock SE rims BTW !!!!)

I'm going to get some blue Tokico's , but in the mean time I was wondering about swaping KYB AGX's for stock SE struts with 80K on them ???? -- just to see how things will be - either bouncy and slappy or decent SE type ride .....

somebody please tell me that is a bad idea

thanks

Nick
