I never thought the day would come, when I would officially take a leave of absence from Maxima.org.

Two weeks ago, I purchased a 2003 Nissan Murano SE AWD midnight blue. I will be leaving for medical school in 2 weeks to Illinois, and a lowered Maxima with big wheels isn't going to cut it in the snow over there. But I still have the Maxima, it will be at home with my parents, my dad and brother will probably red line it everytime they drive it, and snicker when I come back home on the holidays to find it low a quart of mobil one.

I joined Maxima.org way back before there was a .org. It was Evan's 4DSC board, later on Andi Baratchi's board, Russell's board, Shing's board, and finally Jambo set up the .Org. I'm a moldy oldie guys, remembering the days of "As the BBS Turns" and "Getting smoked by a Big Wheel." I remember when Daniel B Martin became the free tech manual for the BBS, and the days with Woodear was banned for doing too much Nissan bashing because he upgraded to a BMW. Those were the days people, and for all of you veterans here, remember that those were our roots on the BBS, to come together and share technical advice.

I will miss the Maxima, but the Murano comes pretty close to it. Kind of a high up Maxima with a larger interior, but still the fantastic v6 and sporty handling.

Take care everyone.

Good luck and did you know the Murano is just as quick as your auto?

Congrats on the purchase, and take care Eric. It's sad to see the veterans leaving, especially the ones whose posts were always relevant and informational.
