xenon plasma h.i.d.'s? for real?
i was browsing through ebay when i noticed this for the i30/max's.
anyone have any info proving or refuting this technology and/or plausibility of these? are they for real, and do they work?
don't want to waste money i could be saving for a mevi, eh?
anyhow this is the link to the page of what i saw.
cheers.

Link does not work. Odds are if it has "Xenon Plasma" in the name, it is nothing more than a colored bulb, not the real thing. A real HID kit will come with Ballast and a few other HID specific accessories I can't remember at moment.

Yeah those are just wanna-be HID bulbs. They won't even come close to the color temperature of a real HID system. Personally, my pockets aren't deep enough to warrant the need for one in my vehicle. Most of the time people get them for looks but the benefits are dramatic too. For me, this is not a priority thing. I'd rather save that money for more important things.

when i got my i30 serviced infiniti gave me a 2003 qx4 with the hid's.. i loved them.. so bright. wish my old 96 had them. but yeah.. at 700 plus a pop, i'll get a ypipe or a complete catback or something.
