Would anyone know when/ how often the pcv-value are supposed to changed in the 4th generation Max? I couldn't find any information in the manual. Are we supposed to have this change at the 30K service or 60k? Or we just wait until it breaks and then get it replace.

=) thanks.

Well......

Now were in the 96 Maxima Factory service Manual does it say when or what mileage to change the PCV valve, so I take it that it's not required until it plugs up which is stupid, so it may well be an oversight on Nissans part.
I'd change it at 60,000 miles like is recommended by many other car manufacturers and a minimum. Since it's so easy to change, doing it sooner would be safer so as not to accidentaly pressureize the crankcase and damage main seals.
JMHO.

i changed mine awhile ago at 17k miles

got it at a local shop. the box actually recommended the change every 15k miles. My original was kinda gunking up on the corners already.
