Some of you have probably seen this guy on ebay trying to sell a never mounted original 0 miles japanese motor (included with mevi) for a 97 maxima, but are there any advantages to that engine already having the mevi vs equipping my us spec max with a mevi?

 

does it come with ECU?

 

Like JeffersonM suggested, any advantage it might have would come from the ECU, if it comes with it.

but the JDM ECU doesnt speak english

so its.... not a good thing if you want to have a legal motor in your Maxima

 

Ahhh but the British Maxima does. It also comes OEM with the VI

yup but its not OBD-II compliant= you'll need a US Spec ECU= it wont be able to activate the VI I dont believe
