codes 0302 and 0304

I'm pretty sure he's not using a scantool. So 0302 is EGR insufficient or excessive flow detected. Probably means the EGR tube is clogged. 0304 is the bad knock sensor code. The P-codes are generated by scantools. I don't think he's using a scan tool.

p0302 and p0304 are cyl 2 misfire and cyl 4 misfire respectively. If you had OBD1, then 32 and 34 are the EGR and KS. Check your plugs.

Use the search button on the top of the page. Type in "EGR Clean" and "Knock Sensor Replacement". You will get a lot of answers.

Are there any on-line sites that have instrutions to repair these problems?

Newbie here but how do you guys get those diagnostic codes? Is there any device I should buy to read those codes? What's the scan tool you guys were talking about? Just curious.
