shifting into 2nd...

when i shift into 2nd from first at lets say..... 2500 rpm, it feels like i have to wait a few seconds before i accelerate or i get some bogging, or hesitation.... any ideas why? it doesnt happen in any other gear, and it doesnt happen taking off in first... might it just be the way 2nd is geared?

yes...the way it's geared
you're just used to the way first feels and how much gas you don't need that you forget 2nd doesn't need as much gas

there is a dead spot on the vq around 2-2.3k ish . that mayb be the bog your feeling. the hp band there doesnt seem to go up very fast there. there was thread about that a couuple days ago.. also.. mayb your clutch isnt catching as fast as you can shift. trying shifting into 2 after goign to like 4 k in first, see if there is still a bog. there shouldnt be.

pop hood and check your throttle cable. do u feel any slack on it before it starts to rev up the engine. if there is some slack then its not tight.. there are 2 14mm nuts at the throbble tensioner thing. . just adjust those until there is little or no slack on the cable.
