Sick of all this Cali-spec emissions crap on my car....

Anyone try ad get rid of all the assorted extra crap Nissan built into the Cali-spec 99.5 Maxima (possibly replacing it with older parts (ECU, etc?)) Any negative effects? I get the feeling my car is much more limited power-wise than it has to be...

If you remove it you will probably fail emissions.

I would imagine all you'd need to do is replace the cali spec headers with fed spec headers and get a fed spec y-pipe.

Yup, you have a Cali-spec too. Damn!

I replied in-depth to your knock sensor thread. I'm having the same issues now.
