98 Altima with a V6?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here would have any insight on this. In looking for a used car, I came across a 98 Altima. The seller didn't know anything about the car, but said that the previous owner had requested something from the factory that took 6 months to get (didn't know what that was). Well I checked under the hood and saw in big bold letters "24 valves".

Now I have not been able to find any information on anything like this. Has anyone heard about a V6 in an Altima before (barring the current model)? Is this really something that might have come from the factory? Or is this a common upgrade for Altimas?

Thanks for any info,

Eddy Cooper

I've never heard of it before. Was it a Nissan engine? Was it a VQ? It sounds pretty damn sweet (and rare).
