I'm thinking about replacing the leather in my 98 GLE and I was wondering if the airbags are a problem/issue. I was thinking about getting them from leatherseats.com so I asked them about it. Unfortuneately, nobody there knows anything about 98's and 99's having side airbags in the seat. I'm not the first person to ask them but they didn't have an exact answer.

Has anyone replaced the their leather with side airbags? The people at leatherseats figure it's like the headrest and such. You just cut an X where the airbag is and stuff. I don't want to do any damage to the airbag and have to pay to have it fixed. I'm sure that wouldn't be cheap. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
