95-96 rear end vs. 97-99 (about lengths)

I'm a bit confused...some say that the exhuast on the 97-99 is longer by a few inches, but I always thought that it was just the bumper that was longer.

Can anyone clarify this? Is the rear bumper cover for the 97-99's longer than the 95-96's, or are they the same length?

Reason is, I'm planning to get a replacement very soon, and if the 97+'s are the same length, I will buy it. It's important that I know becuase right now, my Apexi WS catback is perfectly flush with my 95-96 bumper.

Thanks.

the length of the 97+ rear bumber is longer... so 97+ exhausts are an inch or two longer than the 95-96s

my WS on my 97 fits nearly flush with the bumper... on a 95-96 it should stick out a little bit

why whatsup??

aside from the bumper and trunk, does anything else need to be changed for the 97 rear end conversion? the outside taillights from the 97-99 still fit into the 95-96?
