clutch and slave cylinder

i have an act stage 4 clutch and an unorthodox flywheel, recently the slave cylinder blew out. i replaced it with a nissan factory replacement and it worked great for 2 weeks. now the mechanic is tryin to tell me that the factory cylinder cant handle the clutch. the clutch worked fine for 5 months with the original slave cylinder which is why im having trouble believing this. has anybody had or heard of this problem or does the mechanic just not know what he is talkin about?

It depends upon teh pressure required to force the pressure plate to release. If it's A LOT more than stock then it may have trouble pushing the fork into to pressure plate, and could be prematurely wearing. It's entirely possible.
