Stock spring rates?

I was looking at the new soon to be released Tein S. Tech springs and saw on their website that the spring rates will be 201 and 280 lbf/in front and rear, respectively. I was wondering what the stock spring rates were compared to these numbers... Trying to see if I can tell how much stiffer these springs will be

Thanks.

sounds wrong.. 280 front, 201 rear sounds better but they still seem a lil weak. ground controls come at like 350/300 or so. factory rate is like probably no more than 150lb/in hench the boat feeling.

NISSAN Maxima
A32 95-99 STECH Coming Soon
$220.00 3.6/201
5/280
-56
-2.2 -46
-1.8

Nope, not wrong...it's how it's listed on the Tein website...

I believe they increase the rear spring rate because of the lack of weight in the rear.

Anyone know the OEM spring rates?

GXE and GLE = 200LB/IN
SE = 250LB/IN

201LB front and 280 rear sounds like a decent setup.

I am guessing these springs are wider than the 3.0" diameter springs the GC coilovers. Any steel spring around 3" with the above mentioned rates would instantly bind up just from the static weight of the car.

The SE rates are 250lbs? I just rechecked and Eibach Pro Kit fronts are either 166-266lbs or 188lbs depending who's posting.
Ok, change of plans. Stopping my power quest - ECU, TB, and plenums on hold. It's back to basics.

As I just went outside to check on my Eibachs and compare them with my brother's 509lb/in linear rate JICs, and another Eclipse's 325lb/inEibachs.

As by visual observation the Eibach fronts are linear springs and the rears are 2 zone progressive.

The fronts feel somewhere around 300 and the rears about 225 on the first progressive rate, and about 300 on the 2nd progressive rate.

I actually just did some measurements with the stock springs off the car, but they were just compress and tape measure technique. For results, I got:

Front, compressed 2 1/8, 180lbs
Rear, compressed 7/8, 180lbs

Which comes out to:

Front, 80 lb/in
Rear, 205lb/in

which to me, the front makes no sense at all, but the rear sounds about right. Probably because I measured these under no pre-load. We need to take these measurements with them on the car. Anyone with stock springs want to stand on their shock towers and take a measurement of before and after wheel gap with a tape measure? Maybe we can figure this out.

Edit: The stock springs measured were SE springs.

Hmmmm... for a 2.2 inch drop up front, it would seem like a 201 lbf/in spring would bind or bottom out constantly... Just seems like it wouldn't be stiff enough... but that's my logic...
