Yeah, i got this rattlesnake type noise between 2k-3k rpm, but that is easily fixed with either exhaust wrap or a custom made noise shield. IMO It's a good y-pipe for the $$

I had the same buzzing noises, but got a lined flex section welded in and now its nice and quiet. otherwise, the pipe is of good quality.

i get the EXACT same thing as you
other than that its fine

for those asking, exhaust wrap does shorten the life of the metal on the ypipe.

doesn't the heat from the y-pipe dries the wrap and the wrap slightly increases proformance? dosen't it also act as an extra layer to protect things like salt in the winter?
are you experiencing rusting now?

I had a pretty bad problem. The hole for the front left O2 sensor was welded at a bad angle so I had to get my exhaust shop to weld one below the original one. $30 later it's fine. I think I'm the ONLY one that had this problem though. If I tried to put the O2 in it wouldn't go in because the cv joint was in the way. Now that the pipe is in I think my cat is rusted through or something because of the loudness...

That buzzing sound has being driving crazy lately. I was even contemplating getting rid of it and opting for a cattman or warpsped. But I will try getting that flex joint from warpspeedperformance.com first. Hope that solves the problem.

Budget Y pipe...

I wonder why budget doesn t fix the rattle or buzzing sound...I would say that it would be a extra piece of mind for most of us...I was thinking of getting one,but so far I didn t do it yet do to the noise facts. I see here all kind of opinions regarding that ( wrapping or custom shiels ) that shouldn t be the buyer responsability. It would be most popular Y pipe for our cars... Just my $ 0.02

F-pipe is the same thing as a Y-pipe

Y-pipe is also known was a race pipe or downpipe

Gentlemen,

When ordering from Budget all you need is to ask for the Flex section!!!

Here's mine:

Don't blame Budget!!! If you never ask, you'll never know!

Rusty.

mine also makes that rattlesnake sound people talk about. i figured they would have had that fixed by now but apparently not. i don't even want to drive my car until i can get a resonator and perhaps some wrap on it.
