Front passenger door light not working

i took the whole door skin off to try to find the problem with the light but no luck. the housing itself works because i tried it on the drivers side and it was fine. it must be something in the wiring itself. any ideas???

OMG i have this same exact problem, except on my driver door. not sure wht it is but i have so far found out that the ground to the light housing is well... not there. did u replace the door speakers, with component speakers? did u by accident cause a spark when removing or placing in a bulb? thats what did it to me i think. but other then that i have no clue. if i find anythnig ill let u know asap.

i never replaced anything in the door myself but the problem happened after i had my car in for some auto body work and they had to remove the whole door skin and replace it on a new door. i didnt worry about it too much at the time cuz i figured the bulb had just blown but they must have shorted something out.

Have you checked the wiring at the door to see if it is getting power (when light should be on)? If it's not, trace the wiring back from there. If it is, bad bulb or light socket thing.
