Adjusting E-brake

Hey guys...i got a question...there is something wrong with my ebrake...when i pull up my e...I could still accelerate and the car wont sit in place...its seems like the ebrake is not even grabbing..is there a way to adjust the ebrake so it would grab and so the car would stay in place..the reason im asking cuz so i could warm up my tires in the burnout box at the track.

ebrake should be adjusted to 10-11 clicks. There is an adjusting 'bolt' near the bottom of the handle where it attaches to the body of the car.
