HAHA this is the stupid code i'm getting...
take it to a dealership, tell them you have an evap code and to verify if your vin... tell them you heard there is a recall on this item...
oh wait you're a 96... lol you might not be part of the recall..
in that case, what i've heard people here do is remove the valve from the rear of the car... clean it, and put it back on. That's it... a bit of wd40 and it should get that stuck valve moving again.
the EVAP system from what i've read here, does not do anything to your car performance wise... it just controls the evaporation of the fuel smells....

this is actually oakley2's (jeff) 96 se. he just posted on my name casue he was over here tonit. We were lookin at some recall stuff, and it looks like it may be covered. I think he'll have to pay a visit to the dealership.
