If anyone could tell me what the offset for a 4th gen max is id really appreciate it. I am going to purchase rims today and i want to double check. Thanks!

There is no "correct" or "incorrect" offset for any car. It varies depending on wheel width, whether you like the wheels tucked in or sticking out further, etc.

most aftermarket wheels for a max use an offset of 45mm to 34mm.

the lug pattern is 5 on 4 1/2 (5x114)

the correct offset for a maxima will vary depending on rim width but in most cases a 42mm-35mm will work. im running 18x8 with a 35mm offset and i never rub

I have 8.5" ADR Sterlings w/ 35mm offset.. We'll see if it rubs.. The other people who have my rims say there rub free... I dont think you should be below 35mm or higher than 42mm tho.. I think i've seen some people here with 45mm..

Based on the manual for my 99SE, the offset for the 15" steel rim is 40 and the 16" alloy is 45. The bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3 p.c.d.

One can varies the offset within a small range without much ill effect. Nevertheless, using a rim with an offset very different from your OEM does impart a substantial change on the steering and handling of the car.
