I got into a little accident recently and I will need a new front bumper. My friend has a 97 front bumper laying in his garage because he bought the Sarona front bumper and hes willing to give it to me for free. The thing is that I do not want to fork out money to buy the 97 grille. Can you post pics of the 97 front bumper with the 96 grille so I can see how much of a gap there is between the grille and bumper? And yes I have searched for pics but i coudlnt find any clear ones. Thanks in advance.

 

From what I understand they aren't totally compatable. Good luck though, if it works post some pics.

 

The grille on the 95-96 will not properly mate up with the 97-99 bumper. Some modding will be required. But, why not just spend the additional 40 bucks shipped for a 97-99 grille?

 

yeah man, the gap is pretty huge. i've seen pics before. go to a junkyard and you can pick one up for like 10-15 bucks. the gap is pretty rough.

 

The grill can work but there will be a huge gap but if you don't mind doing that until you can afford the 97 grill then rick it. Also, you can buy a 97 GXE grill so you won't have to paint it.
