I'm minding my own business at a redlight this evening, and a Lincoln LS pulls up and revs up. I think 'oh, well we'll see what happens', so we go at it. He jumps out half a length, then I start reelin' him in and continue to pull away until 90 when I had had enough. We were out in the middle of nowhere. He flies past me and I noticed he had an aftermarket ground effect kit and performance exhaust(sounded really deep and good). He pulls over and flashes for me to do the same which I did. You should have seen his face. He was so surprised. It was a 2001 auto with a V8. I have a 95 auto with Warpspeed Y and JWT intake.

.

I'm surprised he had ground effects because those are already nice and low looking. I think they have the best looking grills on those new ones. They have 3.9l v8 252 hp and they make a v6 3.0 210hp, and both have a standard 5 speed automatic with overdrive. In the driver of the lincoln's defense, they don't offer a true manual with the v8, only with the v6. Although they are pretty patheic stock

v8 0-60 7.2-8.8
v8 1/4m 15.4-16.8
v8 252hp top speed 140mph (governed?)

v6 is obviosely slower so....

Those #'s are from the best and worst from various car magazines. They are not fast, but man do they look nice.

I drove my friend's LS V8 a few months ago and loved it. Not as quick and nimble as the Maxima, but damn they're comfy and a lot of fun to take out on the highway. That's a nice car, gives the imports like the Max a good run for their money. They are so damn confortable on the inside and damn they look great. If that only came in a V8 stick.... what the hell is Ford thinking? Pussies.

I drove a V6 auto once too in a car dealership. I wish the Maxima was RWD so the front overhang can be short like the Lincoln LS or BMWs.
