OBX Cat Back...

O.K.,
I tried looking through the forums but could not find any info on the question that I have.

Does anyone know whats the diffrence between the OBX Catbacks for a 1995 - 1999? There is 2 models that I'm looking at one is a Type-H the other is a Type-B.

There is not to much info about it on the OBX website.

Thankx,

i believe the difference is just in the shape of your muffler. .. There are actually 3 models. . . the H, the B, and the type DTM

http://www.speedstash.com/obxcatback.html

see. . . the mufflers are different.

I have an OBX cat-back on my 98 and my muffler looks nothing like any of those, mine looks identical to the Greddy SP

Keep searching around, you'll find it eventually.

I bought the entire cat-back system (polished SS, 2.5", 2 resonators, 4" tip) from an ebay vendor SSAUTOCHROME for $250 shipped about 8 months ago

Sorry, but your order has been cancelled; OBX stopped making this exhaust recently.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

i think the reason they might not look like any of the three pictures is that if you click into any of the three sections for the three types, you will notice they make the same type for tons of different model cars, not just nissan max. the pictures advertised look more representative of catbacks that are typically sold to four banger civics and integras etc... so maybe for instance, the type h for a 96 civic hatchback might have a different looking muffler than a type h for maxima - this is just my educated guess though

Well,
I have just found out that they have stopped making them for the 4th gen Maxima, I'm not sure about the other years...

But I was told that they will start making them again but no time frame was given...
