Has anyone noticed or feel that the gas and brake pedals on a 99 SE are too close ? I know i wear size 12 shoes, but I'm sure i don't have the biggest feet. Thanks for the input.

.

I wear size 11, I like pedals close together so I can pivit my foot real easy, during stop and go it's great. Not like in my accord where sometimes during stop and go i just use two feet cuz my right foot will start to ache.

If it's really discomforting to you, I'm sure you could buy new pedals that would perhaps have a design which would allow more space inbetween. I've never really looked for specific design on where the pedal actually connects, but I'm sure if you've felt this way so has someone else.

I like the pedals on the maxima just fine. I have had about 5 cars that are similiar to the maxima and I find the pedals OK. I wear a size 12 to 13 and I haven't even wanted to put aftermarket pedals on it like I did most of my cars. If you do have any problem, try adjusting the seat or just wearing different shoes. Actually, most of the cheaper aftermarket pedals make the throttle and brake feel kinda funky for a really long time, if not forever. With that in mind, keep it stock and wear different shoes or something. Take it greazy

i think they are too close as well. i have after market pedals and they are wider then stock, so when i am coming to a stop the car lunges forward on me....whoa... i am very touchy now...

This problem can be solved with a hacksaw. This is not a flippant suggestion. Trim the right-hand end of the brake pedal to suit your comfort.
