What parts of suspension to replace?

I am planning to do my suspensiond (Illumina's/H&R) and I would want to do it right. Could someone please tell me the parts of the stock suspension that I should replace? I realize I need to replace the bump stops, and the dust boots, but what else should I do?

how many miles on your car

if you get OEM dustboots, they come with bumpstops built in. you should also replace the strut bearings up front. the isolator sleeves may need to be replaced if they are torn. all the other parts (strut mount, etc), it depends on their condition, but usually they are OK.

Do not use OEM dust overs on a lowered car unless you cut them shorter. Use KYB's dust covers, they have a shorter bump stop to allow for more suspension travel on a lowered car. They are also about $10/Each cheaper!

KYB P/N's you need two of each.
SB103 - Front
SB108 - Rear

It's also a good idea to either reuse the spring isolation sleves or buy a few new ones. I have P/N's up on the FAQ thread for Nissan isolators, you can order them from your local dealer.

The strut bearing should be either replaced or regreased. To regrease it you need to actually open up the bearing. It's easy to do, just pry gently between the dark and light sections and it will come apart. Pull out the teflon slider and apply grease to both top and bottom housings. Put the teflon slider back in and snap the two halfs back together. Rotate the bearing in your hands to let the grease spread out inside.

Worn out, binding, old dried out bearings are the #1 reason for spring related poping sounds when you turn your steering wheel. The assembly must rotate freely.

I'm about to replace my suspension as well on my 95 GLE with SE springs and KYB GR-2's. I'm confused as to what a strut bearing is vs the strut mount. Also, do I really need to replace the mounts as well or is it just one of those things were since you're already in there do it sort of things? I know TireRack has the strut mounts, but who has the bearings? Also, where's the best place to buy the SB103 & SB108 boots? I know that's allot of questions, but I want to have every part I may need once I get into this install. Thanks.
